Today being my first day in London since the tragic events of Thursday, I found it wierd. I didn't notice much when arriving. "Business as usual". Usual 20 min queue for the taxi rank, train arrived at usual time, got into work at usual late time.
Other than the high police presence EVERYWHERE I could of sworn it was a usual tuesday.
The way home was difference. Finally got a taxi after waiting 20 mins. Taxi took over 30 mins to get to the train station that's a 15 mins tube ride. I past Euston, Euston square closed off to traffic and fire engines on Euston road Fire station with lights flashing. Further round as we went round Kings cross through the st pancras diversion I could see flowers, a sea of flowers in the Kings corss grounds with medical vans, police vans and police cars, littered all over the place.
Arrived at St Pancras (£15 later), to find the station closed. All trains cancelled (no reason yet). Just told to goto Euston, and get a train to Birmingham and then to Derby. As I walked round to Euston I passed many "Missings persons" signs. 1 person with a camera (must of been a journalist) was taking pictures of each sign. It didn't feel right. Coming round to Euston, more police, more vans, TV camera's.... this wasn't business as usual.
When inside Euston there was a new TV screen, never seen it previously. "Railtrack News". Found out that they had found a suspects car at Luton, and they had not only closed the station, but also the entire line in that area. Trains were running late, people bustling around as if nothing was wrong or amiss.... yet it was to me, very amiss.
I didn't get home until 9:45PM. Yet my only summary of the day can be this text message I sent Minge earlier at 20:00:
"I should nearly be home by now... Not happy, but can't complain, 52 dead people justifies me not complaining. Has been a wierd day. Seeing missing persons posters, cars being towed away with numbers plates taped over... Seeing the flowers, half the stations closed off with police tape. Am doing good actually in comparison"

Well, I took the day off sick today as when I got up, walking to the bathroom was a challenge! Tried to get showered and stuff, but the ankle just wasn't ready. And considering I was due in London today, there is no way I would be walking through the tube.
Couldn't really sleep last night due to my ankle being so uncomfortable, so I got back in bed and slept through till 12:30PM. Some well deserved kip was had. Sleep++. Went sleep watching Red Dwarf (yet another ++ in my books).
I think I'm just going to do the same thing today as I have done for the last 2-3 days. Sit here, listening to music, watching films and playing Quake III. I might even get quakeworld working again as I keep getting pestered by the quakelord to get it installed (*bows down at the feet of the Quakelord). |

Well, since saturday afternoon I've been sat here resting my ankle, hoping it'll get better soon. Been doing all the usual things you do with a sprained ankle, but it feels like forever getting better. Spose am just an impatient sod.
The sun is out today (again) and I'm still house bound. Been doing alot of thinking of stuff while sat here on my own, life is actually good in it's own way. I don't remember who said it, but it was an article on the radio the other day, saying life is really just a roller coaster, and some people like this roller coaster, others hate it. Some people like most of it but hate the big dips that happen. The roller coaster dives and everyone screams, and no one can work out when this huge dive is going to stop. Some people close their eyes and hope it'll get better. Other people look forward ahead of the carriage and see the end of the dip and realise life is about to get better.
I've just opened my eyes properly, and I see good things about to happen. The roller coaster has a turn coming up, but it's still a little way away. Small turns, maybe even just twists that may take me back to this same dip, but these are some of the good things which make you think some friends are there to hold on to while the roller coaster gets bad. Feelings... just lifes feedback in the roller coaster! |

Well, got up early and showered etc and went jap slap. First session back and I go and almost break my ankle. Fooking GREAT! Carried on, but very difficult to even walk on it. It's now swollen to the size of a golf ball and I am in quite a bit of pain, but nevermind :|
Currently listening to the Streets new album (A grand don't come for free). Well am touched, it's a great album, but very touching. Some great lyrics. I advise you aquire a listen or two from somewhere. |

Thank fuck it's Friday!
Jap Slap tomorrow morning, but that's it for my long weekend. Will play it all by ear and see how it goes. A quiet weekend might be welcomed in some effects with some good sleep and get the house clean. If it's sunny (please don't be), I'll prolly do me lawn.

Feeling a need to be living somewhere, where i feel happy. I think I've identified where now, and it scares me, as i used to hate living there with a passion!!!

Well... it's the end of the week, weekend and bank holiday. Can't really help but feel down for a few reasons. Work tomorrow isn't helping, but I spose I will feel better when I get into work. Otherwise, I've had one of the greatest weeks you can ever think of, thanks Emma :D:D

Another depressing weekend ahead of me. Going back to MK tonight. This week hasn't been especially enthrawling. Monday and tuesday went ok. Tuesday night i went to leicester to pick stuff up for lgd and then on the way back (at mid-night) I had a blow out on the M1! I was not impressed. Called out A.A and they didn't get to me until approx 1AM. By the time they realised they couldn't get the tyre off they had to go and get a different person out cos they sent the wrong van. The different van arrived at 2ish and then by the time we got back to Staines it was 5:30AM. Car emptied and it was time to get up. Shit, how impressed was I. Speant all night up then had to get A.A. out again to come and help me get the spare changed. They finally did it by breaking the locking wheel nut. Once spare was on, the new tyre was bought and fitted ASAP.
Next day I go and break down on the motorway again with a broken Catalytic convertor. Even more so not impressed. My car is now in a garage waiting to be fixed as soon as possible, but I'm not expecting it until at least early next week. Will be glad once I do get it back.
This weekend I've got no car, can't really go shopping and can't go and see anyone so am stuck in the house on my own with no one to talk to. Looks like another boring internet weekend as all me proper friends are elsewhere..... clubs, friends, family, etc. Don't blame them either, glad to see all are enjoying themselves. Just really wish I could join some of them or find something to do that don't require a car in the middle of MK.
I've now got to go and find a train back to MK which is more than likely gonna drag me through London first and not get me home until 8PM :( Arse and tits and fuck! All of which am not gonna get this weekend, or any weekend in the future.
Anyway, I'll stop my depressive rambling now before I bore all 3 (yes, it's 3 now) of ya away!
